Woolpert provides geospatial acquisition and processing services as well as engineering and architectural design services to a client base of federal civilian, federal defense, and state and local governmental clients to help them plan, design, operate and manage critical infrastructure projects.
Transaction Overview
Long Point Capital invested in Woolpert through a leveraged minority recapitalization structure, where the shareholders of the Company monetized a portion of the illiquid value contained in their business, while continuing to retain a majority ownership interest in Woolpert and maintaining operational control.
Post-Transaction
Following Long Point Capital’s investment, Woolpert grew organically and through six acquisitions. Long Point Capital sold its investment to a strategic buyer in 2021.
