Torrent’s proprietary MaxWell™ drywells are unmatched in efficiency and reliability for stormwater disposal applications. Torrent also provides products for pre-treatment filtering, recharging, and other specialized stormwater applications.
Transaction Overview
Long Point Capital invested in Torrent through a leveraged recapitalization structure, where the owners of the Company monetized the majority of the illiquid value contained in their business, while continuing to retain a significant ownership interest in the Company and maintaining operational control along with the existing management team.
Post-Transaction
Following Long Point Capital’s investment, Torrent increased product acceptance in Southern California, expanded its drywell service and maintenance business, and pursued growth in emerging markets across the western U.S. In 2019, Long Point Capital sold Torrent to a strategic buyer.
